Camping and caravanning

Bring your own accommodation to Cobbold Village

At Cobbold Village, it's understood when you set out to discover our vast country with your own accommodation — be it RV, motor home, caravan, campervan, campertrailer or tent — it is the simple things that count the most!

Getting there is easy for most vehicles, including cars towing caravans; and once settled, you won't want to pack up to leave!

Cobbold Village is located in a peaceful bush setting, awake to the sound of birds and breeze rustling through the eucalyptus trees which provide plenty of natural shade.
 

Camping

Only a short walk from the swimming pool, restaurant and bar, the camping area is quiet but close enough to be part of Cobbold Village life and to access other facilities if and when you want them. The camping area is unpowered with designated fire pits in a heavily shaded area to provide a cool, relaxed space perfect for camper trailer and tents, with a campsite surface of dirt. This area is NOT suitable for solar panels or caravans due to the heavy foliage and limited space.

Powered Sites

A variety of powered sites are available in close proximity to clean, modern amenities complete with a laundry, as well as gas and 18 Cobbold Villagewood-fired barbecues and fireplaces. Our powered sites are available in three styles, powered; terraced drive thru; and ensuite (with your own private bathroom). Powered sites have a mixed campsite surface of pebble and dirt. Drive through sites and ensuite sites are predominately a pebble base. Ensuite sites are located in a different area of the Village, further away from the camp kitchen and laundry, so as to allow sites to be spacious and well managed.

Things to know when booking

Rates are valid 1 April to 31 October 2019. (Cobbold Gorge Tours and Cobbold Village is closed every wet season between November and April). Open 1 April 2019.

When visiting Outback Queensland, please remember where you are. We are located in the Einasleigh Uplift region and suffer from extreme weather conditions (flood and drought), therefore lush grass/slab sites is not a luxury available at Cobbold Village.

Pets under supervision are welcome at Cobbold Village but not on Cobbold Gorge Tours.

By day, immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the Gulf Savannah; by night, unwind and rest up in privacy and comfort ahead of another exciting day of Cobbold Gorge tours and more recreation and relaxation.

All cabins are fully equipped with bathroom, air-conditioning, television, power points for charging laptops, phones or digital accessories and some are available with basic kitchenettes. Beds can be configured to suit the size and needs of your group, whether you're travelling solo, with a friend, partner or the whole family. All linen is provided.

Make the most of our modern facilities which are available to all visitors, as well as a great restaurant and fully-stocked bar.

Comfortable and economical, these motel-style rooms are air conditioned with ensuites and all have a TV, bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Front and rear verandahs allow you to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle famous in North QLD. 4 rooms have King bedding and 4 rooms have King-Single and King bedding configuration available—maximum capacity 2 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child. 

Boundary Huts

Stand-alone cabins featuring your own outdoor sitting area with views, each have split-system air-conditioning and a TV, bedlight, bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. King bedding configuration only—maximum capacity 2 adults. 

Station Suites

Located in a block of 4 units, with shady timber verandahs and split-system air conditioning, these semi-self-contained suites each have a microwave, toaster and kitchen sink as well as a flat screen TV, bed light, bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Single, Twin or King bedding configurations available; adjoining rooms available for families—maximum capacity 2 adults in 1 room and up to 2 adults and 3 children in 2 adjoining rooms.
